On occasion someone will say to me, “Oh, the Law of Attraction… I have used it, but it doesn’t work for me.” If the opportunity suits I find out more hoping to uncover what is getting in the way of it working for them and hoping I can show them how to use it more effectively.
The reality is that many people really don’t have a full understanding of the Law of Attraction. Many people think that all you have to do is think positive or practice affirmations to attract what you want into your life. Of course, positive thinking is part of the formula but, did you know that there are 6 other Universal Laws you need to practice in order for the Law of Attraction to work? And technically, one does not have to apply the Law of Attraction in order for it to work. Let me break some of it down for you.
What we focus on we create and grows. We don’t need to apply this Universal Law to make it work. If we are focused on lack we attract lack. If we are focused on abundance we attract more abundance. We are creating in every moment wether we are aware of it or not. You may or may not like what you are attracting, but you are attracting in every moment just the same.
What we focus on with emotion we attract more quickly! If you want the Law of Attraction to work you need to choose better feeling thoughts. The Law of Deliberate Creation is offering a vibration with awareness so that you don’t create by default. The only way to choose better feeling thoughts is to be aware of your current thinking and feeling and consciously focus your thoughts in alignment with your goal. So rather than give your attention to “what is” now, focus on “what you want”. You can’t move to something you want if the focus of “what is” has the majority of your attention.
The principle of least action and no resistance. You will not create what you want if you are in action mode only and neglecting the energy work of better feeling thoughts.
When you allow you accept those experiences you do not like, want or prefer to be happening. Otherwise, known as contrast. You have to allow for the unwanted for the wanted to be received.
Acceptance applies to allowing yourself to be as you are, others to be as they are and the situation to be as it is. Although, allowing may seem counter-intuitive because we want to fix, force, control and impose our will on reality it ensures that we stay in the flow of pure, positive energy. Allow things to unfold without forcing things into being.
If you feel that nothing is ever enough then that is what you will attract into your life. If you feel that you are not enough you will always be looking outside yourself to become more then you are now. You will base your worth on things like what you accomplish, what job title you hold, the amount of money you make and your possessions.

As you can see, there is much more to the Law of Attraction along with the other Universal Laws than positive thinking. And I have not even covered the Law of Pure Potentiality , the Law of Detachment , the Law of Polarity or the bonus Law of Reflection . So, if you doubt that the Law of Attraction is working for you maybe it is because you don’t have the full picture.
